The aluminum fleet — 50 semitrailers for Arab Potash

In 2006, Arab Potash put a hard question to tender: every kilogram a semitrailer weighs is a kilogram of potash it can't carry. ELiTE won the award of 50 units and answered it in aluminum alloy — a full year on three prototypes tested on the actual Dead Sea–Aqaba route, and the following year delivering the remaining 49.

The result: 30% less empty weight, converted directly into potash on every run to the Port of Aqaba. By Arab Potash's own accounting, the fleet returned USD 6 million within three years. Nearly two decades on, the same 50 semitrailers are still moving millions of tons of Jordan's potash to export.

The marker in the tank — how Jordan's gasoline got honest

In 2010, Jordan introduced two grades of gasoline — RON 90 and RON 95 — and a new kind of fraud arrived with them: stations selling 90 as 95, or blending the two and pocketing the difference. Motorists couldn't tell. Regulators couldn't prove it. Jopetrol called for a solution.

ELiTE introduced a gasoline marker — a covert chemical signature dosed into each grade at the refinery, detectable in the field down to the smallest dilution. A blend or a substitution now showed up in minutes, not lawsuits. The marker was written into Jordanian fuel standards, where it remains the norm today — and we have been protecting the country's fuel ever since.

Kerosene turns blue — and 40% cheaper

For years, Jordan priced kerosene and diesel identically — not because they cost the same, but because a price gap invited fraud. Kerosene, the heating fuel of thousands of households, was held at diesel's price purely so nobody would profit from swapping one for the other. Consumers were paying for a fraud-prevention policy, winter after winter.

In 2020, building on the gasoline-marking program, ELiTE introduced a kerosene marker: the fuel was dyed blue for anyone to see, with a covert chemical marker underneath for the inspector's field kit — approved into the Jordanian standard. With substitution now detectable in minutes, the unified price had no reason to exist. It was cancelled, and kerosene dropped by 40% — a fraud-prevention chemical that turned into heating relief for every household that burns it.

Buying years, not parts — a Frame 9E gets a second life

The capital parts of a GE Frame 9E gas turbine — combustion hardware, S3B buckets, the hot-gas-path components that live in the flame — are the most expensive consumables in a power station. When theirs reached end of interval, Samra Electric faced the classic choice: buy new at capital-part prices, or find someone who could put life back into the metal.

ELiTE took the parts through specialist inspection and overhaul — repairing, recoating, and re-qualifying the hot-gas-path hardware instead of replacing it — and delivered everything back within the planned outage window. The unit returned to the grid on schedule, running on components certified for another full interval. Years of turbine life recovered, at a fraction of the cost of new.

Protecting a billion-dollar plant from its own chemistry

A fertilizer plant is, by design, a machine for handling things that destroy machines. When Jordan India Fertilizer Company invested a billion dollars in its phosphoric-acid complex, the chemistry that would earn that investment back — hot acids, abrasive slurries, corrosive vapors — was the same chemistry that could eat it from the inside.

ELiTE delivered the plant's corrosion armor: rubber lining for tanks and vessels, acid-proof brick lining where heat and chemistry hit hardest, and protective coating systems across the plant — each barrier matched to the specific service behind it. Steel does the structure's job; the lining decides how long it keeps doing it.

Weighing a potash plant, belt by belt

Between the fine, compacted, and standard potash plants, Arab Potash runs tens of conveyor belts — product moving from one process to the next, rejected material moving out. Every one of those belts carried tonnage nobody could see. How much fine went to compaction? How much was being rejected? The answers lived in shift logs and estimates.

ELiTE fitted the conveyors with belt weigh scales — load cells on the idler frames, speed sensors on the belts, and full remote reporting to PC. Now every belt reports its flow rate and running totals live, and managers watch material move between plants from their office screens. What used to be an end-of-shift estimate is now a number, in real time, for every belt in the chain.
